ABOUT US

Who We Are

The North County Newcomers Club (NCNC) is a social club created to introduce adult newcomers to North San Luis Obispo County. We meet new friends and explore our beautiful new community together. Our monthly calendar is filled with myriad activities and events to choose from; there is something for everyone who joins.


Who is Eligible

You’re eligible to join NCNC within four years of moving to the area, which includes San Miguel, Paso Robles, Templeton, Atascadero, Cambria and Morro Bay. Active membership is for six years, after which many members choose to continue as “alumni” and remain eligible for club activities.

We meet on the first Wednesday of every month for a lunch presentation or dinner and entertainment. You can see our latest general meeting Event here. How to Join

It’s simple to join! To learn more about becoming a member, visit our Join Now page. Annual active membership dues are $35; annual alumni dues are $25. You can always change your profile information as needed by using the Edit Profile link from the Member dropdown once you have signed into the website.



How We’re Organized

Diverse volunteer members keep our club dynamic, responsive, and well-run. To stay connected, members have access to a Member Directory on this site.

The Board of Directors manages the club and meets monthly. Six board members are elected officers; President, 1st Vice President (Programs), 2nd Vice President (Membership), 3rd Vice President (Events), Secretary, and Treasurer.

Other board positions include Activities, Database, Historian, Hospitality, Newsletter, Parliamentarian, Publicity, Sunshine, Reservations, Ways & Means and Web Administrator.  Once you’ve joined, you can volunteer to be a board member by contacting the North County Newcomers President at: president@northcountynewcomers.org.
